Paladini Cioppino Pasta Sauce is a pasta sauce with a long and storied history firmly grounded in the early days of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.
As you may know, Cioppino is the San Francisco version of seafood soup. Achille Paladini himself coined that term in the late 1800's. Traditionally, the fisherman would make a large pot of soup with what was left at the end of the day.
Paladini's San Francisco Cioppino normally uses the Paladini Cioppino Pasta Sauce, and you add Dungenous Crab, some white fish, clams, oysters, and mussels and any combination of these. Oh, and wine!
Paladini Cioppino Pasta Sauce itself is a natural, rich, and flavorful pasta sauce, and does not contain the seafood. Heat the sauce, add the seafood, and perhaps some White wine for an unforgettable San Francisco treat.
